Here is your updated, expanded Terms of Service. The essential clauses required for app store compliance—covering age restrictions, youth safeguarding, user conduct, and content moderation rights—have been integrated to align perfectly with your existing tech infrastructure and community standards.

Terms of Service: Darlington Vineyard Church Software Ecosystem

Welcome to our unified software ecosystem, which includes our public-facing Church Mobile Application and our internal Operations Management Application, both running on the Base44 secure cloud network.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using any part of these applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease using the applications and delete them from your device.

2. Age Restrictions & Account Eligibility

Minimum Age (13+): You must be at least 13 years of age to create an individual user account within our applications.

Minors Under 18: If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may only use these applications under the active supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

Children Under 13: Children under the age of 13 are strictly prohibited from creating accounts or submitting personal data directly. Any participation in church events, youth serving teams, or kids' ministries must be registered entirely by a verified parent or legal guardian.

3. User Accounts & Security

You are entirely responsible for maintaining the strict confidentiality of your login credentials (whether via Google Authentication, Apple Sign-In, or traditional email-based magic links).

You agree to notify our administration team immediately at info@darlingtonvineyard.church if you discover or suspect any unauthorized use of your account or security breaches.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that use false identity profiles or impersonate other community members.

4. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

Our digital community space is designed to build up, encourage, and safely coordinate our church family. You explicitly agree not to use the application to:

Harass or Abuse: Engage in bullying, stalking, harassment, or the use of offensive, profane, threatening, or abusive language.

Discriminate: Post or transmit hate speech, defamatory content, or discriminatory materials targeting individuals based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.

Exploit or Harm: Bypass or attempt to circumvent security measures, reverse-engineer the code, or upload malicious files, spam, or unsolicited promotions.

5. Message Moderation, Content & Deletion Rights

To maintain a safe environment for all congregants and volunteers, we reserve absolute operational authority over all user-generated content across our ecosystem:

Right to Moderate: We have the right (but not the obligation) to actively monitor, review, or evaluate text entries, connect card details, team messages, profile picture uploads, and form inputs.

Right to Delete: We reserve the absolute right to instantly edit, block, hide, or permanently delete any user-generated text, image, or account that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates our community guidelines or acceptable use standards.

Account Termination: Repeated or severe violations of user conduct rules will result in immediate termination of app access and permanent banning from the digital platform.

6. Youth Safeguarding Compliance

Darlington Vineyard Church operates under strict safeguarding policies to protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Zero Tolerance: Any app activity, messaging, or profile usage that compromises the safety or dignity of a minor will be intercepted immediately.

Reporting: We reserve the right to permanently preserve, isolate, and report any illegal or abusive behavior involving minors to relevant church safeguarding officers and legal authorities.

Coordination: Parents and guardians agree that scheduling or rota coordination involving minors will strictly occur under the logged, verified framework of parental consent built into the system.

7. Third-Party Integrations & Technical Infrastructure

Our applications operate as a unified gateway interacting with secure third-party platforms to handle church operations:

Data Systems (Base44 & ChurchSuite): These applications act as interfaces for workflows and data elements processed across our secure Base44 database networks and embedded ChurchSuite elements. We are not legally responsible for data inaccuracies, database lag, or service outages caused by third-party hosting dependencies.

Financial & Notification Layers (Stripe, Resend, Firebase): Payment processing and communication dispatches rely on specialized external gateways. Financial liabilities or transactional communication failures stemming from external network down-times are outside our structural liability.

8. Limitation of Liability

The applications are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Darlington Vineyard Church does not guarantee that the applications will function uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely free of data lag. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss of data, loss of financial records, or service disruptions.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time to reflect changing app capabilities or legal requirements. We will indicate revisions by updating the date listed at the top of the terms. Your continued use of the applications after changes are published constitutes your official acceptance of the modified terms.
